There’s something truly rewarding about seeing weeks of careful planning and hard work finally come together. With only the plants still to be added, these custom furniture pieces are almost ready to create welcoming spaces where visitors can pause, relax and enjoy a moment of calm within the mall.

Thoughtfully designed public spaces can completely change the experience of a shopping centre.

At Prince Buthelezi Mall, Badec Bros Deco had the privilege of manufacturing a full range of custom furniture and litter bin solutions for both the indoor and outdoor public areas.

The goal was simple: create inviting people spaces that feel comfortable, modern, and durable enough for everyday high-footfall use.

From custom seating and planter units to interior and exterior litter bins, every product was manufactured to align with the mall’s architectural identity. Fine details such as Oak wooden slats brought warmth and texture into the spaces, helping create a more natural and welcoming environment throughout the development.

A huge thank you to Moolman Group and Twin City for placing their trust in our team, as well as MDS Architecture for the exceptional design work behind this project.

Badec Bros Deco | Prince Buthelezi Mall, Empangeni

Badec Bros Deco is proud to have been part of the newly built Prince Buthelezi Mall in Empangeni, where we custom manufactured a full range of mall furniture and litter bin solutions for both the interior and exterior spaces.

This project focused on creating comfortable, relaxing people spaces throughout the mall — areas where visitors can pause, connect, and enjoy the environment. Each unit was custom manufactured to suit the mall’s design language, combining durability, functionality, and a refined architectural finish.

A key feature of the project was the use of Oak wooden slats across selected bins and planters, adding warmth, texture, and natural detail to the overall mall aesthetic. From the custom seating units and planter combinations to the interior and exterior litter bins, every element was carefully manufactured with attention to detail and built for high-traffic public use.

We would like to thank Moolman Group for trusting us with this project, and also acknowledge MDS Architecture for their amazing design work and vision. It was a privilege for Badec Bros Deco to help bring these beautifully designed public spaces to life through quality local manufacturing.
