Spring in the middle of winter? Absolutely.
Tayla-Lee & Ross's design brief was simple: create a wedding that felt like stepping into a spring garden—light, airy and full of colour—even though they were getting married in the heart of winter at Rosemary Hill.
One of the biggest myths about winter weddings is that you're limited to moody palettes and seasonal textures. You're not.
With the right flower selection, winter can feel every bit as fresh, abundant and full of movement as spring.
For this design, we layered lisianthus, delphinium, ranunculus, tulips, mini allium, craspedia, stocks, micky daisies, peony roses, garden roses, lace flower and orchids to create that effortless, just-picked-from-the-garden feeling.
My favourite detail?
The bouquets.
Instead of one ribbon colour, we chose flowing ribbons in a mix of soft pastel shades. They danced in the breeze and became part of the design itself. Sometimes it's the smallest details that make the biggest impact.
