The photos never tell the whole story.
Behind this stand was only 2.5 weeks of planning, followed by a 3 day build filled with countless on site revisions, product shortages, last minute changes, problem solving and a team determined to make it work.
My role started as the designer and project support, but quickly evolved into project management; coordinating trades, deliveries and making sure every detail came together as challenges arose.
We wrapped up at 5am on opening day, grabbed 90 minutes of sleep, then headed straight back to site to hang the curtains, fluff cushions and add the finishing touches to make our tiny apartment feel like a home before the first visitors arrived.
From concept to completion, this project was a reminder that great design is about so much more than drawings. It’s about adaptability, collaboration and finding solutions when things don’t go to plan.
