Groot Constantia, beautiful heritage buildings!

A design centric space for CTRL Media Studios…a production studio, a space for highly creative people, however the space requirements need to be large enclosed spaces well insulated from outside sound and lighting. That’s quite a challenge to create exciting architectural aesthetics outside and keep to budget. I think these concept sketches are coming on and sometimes the simpler the architecture the better. I’m so excited to see this come together in reality.

It’s always nice seeing one’s hard work become a reality! This 5 bedroom family home at Helderfontein Residential Estate is really coming along. Had a wonderful site visit today with . Building is looking great.

These clients wanted a charming French manor house of elegance and refined living, however, the estate guideline, although allowed for classical design did not allow French design. Through innovative design, we created a classical home with subtle French elements to create the look and feel the client really wanted. In collaboration with Avid Design Collective, this project is really coming together.

A few weeks back we had the opportunity to visit in Franschhoek for a special friend’s birthday…stunning and simply elegant interiors coupled with beautifully presented food! What an amazing experience! As architects we can resist a modern touch renovation to a old cape building and we think the warm timber touch of the interiors are just perfect for the experience.
