Today marks the anniversary of the day I finished “Chasing Seagulls.”

I had two buyers wanting her. Perhaps that says something about how special this painting was.

Of all the paintings I’ve created, this remains, in my eyes, one of my very best. It captured a moment, a memory, and a little piece of my heart.

I sold her… but I still miss her. ❤️

🐋 A whale with plans of its own…

This commission happily made its way to Danabaai, thinking it had found its forever home.

But then the grandchildren arrived… and the whale stole their hearts! 💙

So, with a little splash of magic, it is setting off on another adventure, destined for the bedroom of two little princesses. 👑👑

Sometimes a painting simply knows where it belongs. 🎨✨

What a day to remember!

To my Frozen Friends… thank you for reminding me that the richest lives aren’t measured in possessions, but in shared experiences, genuine friendships, and the courage to keep diving into life.

I’m taking a little break from my commission of British grandchildren playing on the main beach.

Painting seagulls is my happy place. They always help me find my creative rhythm again and settle into the right headspace.

Today, I’m smiling in the studio, brush in hand, drifting between classical music and heavy metal. An unusual soundtrack perhaps, but somehow it works perfectly.

Life is good. ❤️
