THE BIRTH OF AN IDEA
AFRICAN HERITAGE & WILDLIFE CONCRETE FLOWER POTS
Every creation starts with an idea.
This one started with a simple question:
What if a concrete flower pot could be more than just a flower pot?
What if it could tell a story?
What if we could bring African heritage, wildlife, patterns, culture and art into something that people could proudly display in their homes, gardens, offices, lodges and outdoor spaces?
And that’s where the idea of African Heritage & Wildlife Concrete Flower Pots was born.
But bringing an idea from the mind into reality is a completely different story.
Research.
Sketches.
Graphic design.
AI prototypes.
Endless prompts.
AI doing the exact opposite of what you asked.
More prompts.
More testing.
More redesigns.
Then eventually…

Templates were printed.
Shapes were cut by hand.
Measurements were taken again and again.
And the search for the right production methods began.
Because at the end of it all, we don't just want to make another concrete flower pot.
We want to create something that carries the artist’s hand-crafted touch.
Something that feels African.
Something that tells a story.
Something inspired by our heritage and wildlife.
Something unique enough to become a piece of art.
From an idea in the mind…
to a design on paper…
to a template in the hands…
to concrete…
and eventually, a piece of African art.

At the end of all the research, AI prompts, designs, failed prototypes and hours of figuring things out, all you really want is to feel that artist’s hand-crafted touch in the final flower pot.
Not something that simply looks manufactured. You want to look at it and know:
“Someone created this with their hands.”
Every curve.
Every detail.
Every texture.
Every imperfection.
That’s what gives the piece its character.
AI can help with the idea. Technology can help with the design. Machines can help with production.
But there’s something special about the human hand and the artist’s touch.
That’s the feeling we want these flower pots to have.
Designed with an idea.
Shaped by creativity.
Finished by hand.

NOBODY KNOWS WHAT GOES ON BEHIND THE SCENES OF MAKING A CONCRETE FLOWER POT WITH A LOT OF DETAILED DESIGNS… People see the finished concrete flower pot and think, “Nice design!” But they don’t see what happens behind the scenes. It starts with the client’s idea — then comes the research, sketching, refining the concept and turning that idea into a proper graphic design.
Then comes the next challenge: creating the perfect AI prompt. You tell AI exactly what you want…AI: “No problem!” And then it creates something completely different. 😂
So you argue with AI.
You explain again.
You rewrite the prompt.
You try another platform.
You change the wording.
You try again.
AI does the opposite. At some point, you’re literally walking around thinking:
“What exactly do I need to tell this AI for it to finally understand what I’m seeing in my head?” After countless attempts, you eventually realise: “You know what? I’ll just figure this out myself.”
So you print the template, get your scissors, blades and measuring tools…
…and start cutting everything by hand. The whole day.
Then you call the guys who do laser cutting, hoping they can make life easier: “Sorry, we only do wood and steel.”
Back to the drawing board! This is the part nobody sees.
The research.
The failed prototypes.
The AI battles.
The redesigns.
The hand-cutting.
The problem-solving.
The improvisation.
The long hours.
But that’s also where the real creativity happens.
One idea. Many attempts. A lot of patience. And eventually… something starts to take shape.
