Growing up in Lower Austria, his work often returns to quiet towns, ordinary light, and people who aren’t trying to perform for the camera. Mostly in black and white, his images strip away the noise and leave you with something simple, direct, and hard to fake.

liam fawell doesn‘t ask people to hold still. He waits until they forget the camera‘s there, until the moment stops being posed and starts being real.

His work moves between motion and stillness like it can‘t decide which one holds more truth, natural light doing most of the talking, minimalism doing the rest. Based in Australia, shooting everywhere from there to wherever the next flight lands, Liam has spent years learning that the best stories don‘t need much dressing up. Just the right light, and someone who knows how to wait for it.
