We visited Cecilie Manz at her studio, where, with the new Post Lounge Chair as a point of departure, we spoke about craft, and the approach to her work designing the chair.’⁠

Sarah discovered the craft of upholstery almost by chance, but quickly recognised it as the right path. A newly trained upholsterer working at our workshop in Svendborg, she now works on technically complex sofas and iconic designs by Børge Mogensen and Hans J. Wegner. Sarah is part of a new generation carrying a longstanding craft forward, while continuing to develop it for the future.⁠

Seto Ōhashi is Japan’s longest bridge, connecting the islands of Honshu and Shikoku. The bridge inspired the Seto Stool by Keiji Takeuchi, lending the design its distinctive H-structure and its name. Crafted in solid oak and canvas, the stool has a graceful, expressive profile that brings together heritage and modernity.

The Islets Table series by Maria Bruun is a precise design with a strong identity, based on a simple construction where details are kept to a minimum. The Islets Coffee Table, sculptural and minimal, as it is characteristic of the designer, finds a balance between a light feeling in its expression and its strong presence. ⁠

A glimpse inside Mogens Koch’s office at Kunsthal Charlottenborg, photographed in 1968.⁠

Formerly home to the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, the building was where Koch worked and developed his architectural practice. Around him were pieces by some of the designers who shaped Danish modernism: Kaare Klint’s Klint Chair, Børge Mogensen’s J39 Chair and Koch’s own bookcase system.⁠
