Saturday was the launch of the Aylsham Heritage Snail Trail, so we thought we would join in and display our beautiful locally handmade snails in our little window. I have to admit I was chuckling to myself as a popped them into the cups. Our snails are designed to also be hung onto your wall which is a fun way to display them. So next time you’re in Aylsham why not follow the trail through our historic town and find out some interesting stories

We are very sorry if you have visited the shop this afternoon to find it has closed. We all do our best to stay open during this extremely hot spell but at times it’s unbearable. So for future reference- if it’s going to be a hot day I’d recommend visiting during the cooler morning hours. Thank you everyone and I hope you are managing to stay cool.

Tomorrow is going to be absolutely scorching, so we are going to be open a little earlier at 9am and will hopefully be there until 1pm. The shop is incredibly warm if there isn’t a breeze so I’m sure you will agree that it’s important to keep everyone safe. At home I’ve been picking home grown strawberries and storing them in our locally made ceramic berry bowls and keeping the flies at bay with one of our green checked bowl covers.

I am delighted to now stock 100% organically grown Wildlife Friendly Herbal Teas and maybe you could pair it with a tea basket or hand made strainer. Drink it in the go with a beautiful travel cup or put your feet up at home and hug a handmade mug

Good Morning I hope you’re enjoying the sunshine? At this time of year Peonies are currently in bloom across the country. In store we have some beautifully crafted beeswax candles including these pretty Peonies. They make a thoughtful little gift and we often hear that it looks too good the light. Our little shop is staying pretty cool at the moment so if you’re in town why not pop in and have a little mooch about.
