We would like to wish all of our customers, suppliers and followers a very Happy Christmas and best wishes for 2026. Thank you so much for all of your support, tags and recommendations over the last year. Planet has had another year full of fabulous projects and 2026 looks set to provide us with many more.
We are now closed for the festive break and will be closed until 5th January 2026.

Another recent project to share. This time for a local client who added their own creative touch to the finished look, with a splash back featuring their own photograph of the Disney castle.

The kitchen itself is a light grey, gloss finish with handleless doors and completed with darker granite effect laminate tops and upstands.
We moved the radiator from under the window and relocated it to an extended stud wall allowing space for a breakfast bar where the customer can sit and watch the cats playing in the ‘catio area’ outside.
A bespoke wall unit was fitted over the boiler to hide it, as was the microwave, which is hidden behind a lift up door.
This client trusted our slightly radical design and went with it. It looks twice as big in there now.

This project over in Bishopstone came about thanks to a recommendation from a previous client from around 4 years ago.
A very large extension had to be built before we could start but we got the design done early enough to amend the architects plans and lose a window to help with the kitchen design.
Our clients had done their research and knew what they liked. The cornflour blue was chosen to match the Scottish football team our client supports and it certainly gives the kitchen the WOW factor.
The island unit houses a vented hob that is ducted out under the floor and is a centre piece that allows the family to congregate and cook together.
One family member suffers with lupus so the Neff ‘flex’ appliances feature magnetic k***s instead of all touch control. We listen to our clients needs.
The two integrated refrigeration units and dishwasher feature ‘touch to open’ so finger strength is not a problem.
Working with a new builder, plumber and electrician we coordinated everything really well.
The doors are a J handle at 22mm thick to ensure fingers can open them. Tall units feature bespoke doors with hidden recesses rather than doubling up on J handles. The media wall grew from some initial sketches and the use of the acoustic panelling makes that section of the room a terrific feature. Small units house all the sky/apple magic boxes tidily but at the same time they are all easily accessible.
Our clients have been a dream to work for and the whole room was finished off with Amtico ‘long lay’ oak effect flooring.
All the led lighting is controlled by a Philips Hue system on the clients phone.
Very pleased with this one as it is visually stunning.

When Planet headed to Canada 🇨🇦
A month ago today, Mark headed over to Canada to project manage this basement conversion for his youngest son and then fit the units and top in the laundry room and bathroom. They have reduced the size of their garage in order to accommodate a fabulous sized shower room and improve the laundry room too.
It’s had its challenges but Mark leaves today feeling immensely proud with the positive changes he has made to their house.
Whilst away he’s also been finding time to design future projects as well as spending lots of quality time with his beautiful granddaughters, doing school runs, getting to watch them do various sporting events and have them all help to celebrate his birthday.
He arrives back to England tomorrow and will be back in the office on Monday.

When a customer asks for a venting hob but Mark manages to persuade them to go for the feature and as he puts it, it is visually stunning!
Having knowledge of the products available and customers who fully trust Mark, allows him to create kitchens that really are out of this world!
For those interested, the hob is a Neff Flex induction hob and extractor with seamless strips.

Loving the attention to detail on our new Amtico floor laid over the last 2 days by carpet trader Bicester. A long time in the decision making but worth every moment. Herringbone layout with a silver decor strip border. Excellent job.

A customer over in Bodicote as a result of our time volunteering for Salute the NHS back in 2020. Many years of research had gone into planning this kitchen before we had even met. Our clients knew just what they wanted but did not know how to go about it. We worked together to not only bring these ideas to life but to add to them and totally exceed expectations.
A non load bearing wall was removed to create this amazing sized kitchen plus a new window has been installed to allow more light flow.
This project was then completed with Ash shaker doors painted in taupe grey, featuring a clever bi-fold storage unit with automatic lighting and complimented with Cinstone Britannica quartz tops. Several deep drawers were incorporated into the design to supply the client with the much needed storage they required.
Carpet Trader then finished off the project by beautifully laying the Karndean Lime washed oak the clients had chosen, in a heringbone pattern.

The past month we have been working further afield on this project near Bath. A kitchen, cloakroom and bathroom. The Planet Kitchens team, which included Payne Plumbing and Heating, Tugwells Property Services Ltd Richard Lee Electrical and myself, have totally transformed and modernised these rooms and The Quartz Worktop Company came over to add the stunning CRL quartz reflections tops. We also used the fabulous team from Tile & Floor Bath to take care of all of the stunning floor and wall tiling.
The kitchen has been finished in Unity Oxford Blue with Neff and Bosch appliances and a Quooker Flex boiling water tap . There is also a waste disposal unit fitted.
Lots of challenges to overcome - uneven floors, out of square corners, tall wall units - all overcome thanks to years of experience.
A very trusting client (that we have worked for before) left us to it. Our mission was to exceed our own
expectations and this we achieved. A very happy client and a very happy Planet Kitchens team.
