A little French farmhouse character… 🇫🇷
New to The Lane Vintage Interiors, this striking vintage French wire harvest basket has all the weathered charm we love in a well-used vintage piece.
With its aged metal frame, original wooden handle and beautifully rustic patina, it would make a wonderful centrepiece on a farmhouse table, add texture to a kitchen or bring character to an interior styling project.
Style it with seasonal produce, dried flowers or gathered garden clippings — or simply let its sculptural shape speak for itself.
£95 · Available now on the website.

There’s a particular kind of vintage shopping trip we know all too well…

You come in looking for a chair. 🪑
You leave with a rather fabulous large laundry basket instead. 😂

Because sometimes the thing you weren’t looking for is exactly the thing you can’t stop thinking about.

And honestly? We fully support the decision.

The chair can wait. The laundry basket clearly had other plans and is heading to its new home in Poland. 🤎

That’s the joy of vintage interiors — you never quite know what you’ll find, or what will follow you home.

Sometimes it's the simplest pieces that steal the show. 🤎

A beautifully matched pair of 1940s wooden folding chairs with a warm, timeworn patina.

Style them around a rustic dining table, in a hallway, or tucked into a cosy reading corner. Practical, versatile and full of vintage charm.

*Style either side of a vintage desk or writing table for an effortlessly collected look.
*Pair with a linen throw and woven basket to create a relaxed reading corner.
*Perfect as extra dining seating that can be folded away when not in use.

Now available at The Lane Vintage Interiors.

New in and slightly smug about it — a very good vintage French wooden chopping board has landed in the studio.

Big, beautifully worn, and full of those quiet little marks that only decades in a French kitchen can give. The kind of piece that doesn’t try too hard, but somehow ends up being the star of the whole room.

It works hard as a board, but honestly? It’s even better just leaning around looking handsome on a shelf with some pottery and linen nearby.

Currently available — but not expected to hang around behaving itself for long.

✨ New treasures have landed! ✨
After a few early mornings, plenty of rummaging and a lot of "I'll just have a quick look" moments, we've returned with a fresh collection of vintage finds.

Think decorative books with worn spines, beautiful crisp linens, some lovely retro suitcases and a gorgeous French chopping board, there are plenty of new arrivals ready to be explored - quite a few that didn't make the video edit as well..... 📹

We’re changing things up a little ✨

From now on, we won’t be keeping regular opening hours.
Instead, please get in touch to arrange a visit.

This means we can offer a more relaxed, one-to-one experience when you come to browse our vintage interiors, and make sure we’re properly on hand to help you find the right pieces.

We’re still here and very much open for enquiries, sourcing requests, and visits—just in a more flexible way.

If you’d like to come by, simply send us a message and we’ll find a time that works.

Thank you for all your continued support 💛

One of those pieces that proves the simplest vintage finds are often the most useful.

This wonderfully weathered zinc bucket has just arrived, complete with all the dents, marks and aged patina that give old pieces their character. Perfect filled with dried flowers, garden cuttings, kindling by the fire, or simply left to do what it does best—look effortlessly charming.

We can easily imagine this one in a country kitchen, garden room, boutique space, or tucked into a cosy corner at home.

Available now.

How is this kingfisher still here?

It's been perched in the shop for a few weeks now, quietly showing off its brilliant blues and hoping somebody takes the hint.

Original oil on canvas. Signed by the artist. Full of colour and character.

The sort of piece that makes a room feel collected rather than decorated.

Still available... although the kingfisher is beginning to look a little impatient.

There’s something about old rush-seated chairs that newer furniture just can’t imitate.

This Liberty of London Arts & Crafts fireside chair has the most beautiful warmth to it — softly aged timber, handwoven texture and a low ladderback silhouette that feels instantly inviting. The kind of piece that makes a room feel quieter, softer and more collected.

Perfect beside a fire in your home, in a reading corner or styled into boutique hospitality and creative interiors needing texture and soul.

One-off vintage piece available through the website or with a collection discount at the shop.

Meet our latest arrival: one seriously well-travelled metal trunk with a questionable sense of direction but impeccable style ✨

It’s seen things. It’s carried things. It’s definitely picked up a few dents along the way — and honestly, we’re not fixing any of them.

Perfect for pretending you’re running a boutique hotel in Paris, storing all your “important treasures”, or just making your living room look like it has a past.

Big, bold, and beautifully imperfect.

Available now via the website (before it decides to travel again) or collect in person in the shop.
