We’re having an unplugged event Make and Mend Furniture Workshop with Blue Marble Refill and let people take over the space to unplug and chat, read, craft, play and unwind in our comfy armchairs. We’ll have a tea and coffee station but come along and bring your book, knitting, sketchpad or just sit back and unwind. Donations welcome, hope to see you there x

We did an autumn scrap fabric wreaths workshop last Friday with mothers and children, which was lovely ❤️ If you’re interested in attending a mother and child craft activity or just mothers on a Friday afternoon let me know x

Adding natural and sustainable coir instead of foam and also webbing to chairs today, as well as making box cushions for a beautiful mid century chair, da iawn, bendegedig!

So Cerith was doing a great job working on this vintage love seat with touile de jouy fabric that would definitely appeal to any vintage furniture fans especially those in to Bridgerton or period dramas! We’ll be finishing it to sell soon so let us know if you’re interested in buying it ❤️

First evening upholstery workshop tonight 5:30-8pm and we had a great time upholstering and nattering over a cuppa. Looked all cosy from the outside with the night drawing in and everyone made great progress on their chairs which are looking fab! ❤️ 🪑

Picked up a couple of chairs this week, was donated lovely antique wingback chair from friend Lynda that waffle has already claimed and couldn’t resist this nursing chair? from climate shop, also been working on a mid century sofa with a friend, watch this space for the transformations!

Summer holidays are almost over and we have new upholstery & Upcycling workshops starting in September!
Wednesday evenings 5:30-8pm evening workshops
Thursday mornings 10-12:30 - volunteer workshops
Thursday afternoons 1-3pm - wellbeing workshops
Friday morning workshops 10-12:30
We’ll also look at putting on day long workshops on Saturdays about once a month so watch this space!

Everyone making great progress on their projects this week, Laura & Cerith are close to finishing their armchairs and Elaine’s sofa isn’t far behind! Well done everyone, they look fab ❤️ 🪑 🔨
