It’s been a busy week here at ReTweed! 🧵🪡

From our Advanced and Main Course programmes, supporting our amazing volunteers and preparing for upcoming courses, to a busy shop, commission orders and clothing alterations. There’s lots happening!

It’s all go, but at the heart of everything we do is community, creativity and connection. ❤️

🌊 Something a little different for a couple of us at ReTweed this week! 🪡 We swapped our sewing machines for the sea and enjoyed a session in the surf. 💙

It was a lovely opportunity to connect with others in our community, share experiences and spend time together in a different setting.

At ReTweed, we know that rising energy and living costs put additional pressure on women, families and our wider community. When household budgets are stretched, having access to support, skills and affordable options matters more than ever.

We’ll continue doing what we do best: supporting women across Berwickshire and the Scottish Borders through free training courses, volunteering opportunities, affordable clothing alterations and sustainable, upcycled products. 🧵♻️

By giving donated textiles a second life, we’re helping people and the planet, while creating opportunities to learn new skills, build confidence and connect with others.

Because at ReTweed, people and planet come before profit. We’ll keep doing what we can to support our community, whatever challenges lie ahead. ❤️

🍂✨ Autumn Shop Refresh! ✨🍂

We’ve given the shop an autumn refresh, with lots of beautiful new handmade pieces made by the women participating on our Main, Community and Advanced Training Courses, as well as our amazing volunteers. 🧵❤️

There’s lots to browse, including messenger bags, draft excluders, peg bags, appliqué boat cushions, luxury tote bags and our gorgeous whales. Plus plenty more unique gifts, homewares and accessories. 🐋👜✨

Every piece is made using donated and upcycled textiles, giving fabrics a second lease of life. ♻️

Every purchase helps support our free sewing training and volunteering opportunities, while celebrating the creativity, skills and hard work of our ReTweed community. ❤️
