If you're heading to Kirkwall, why not pop into the Town Hall, opposite the cathedral, to see the Summer Exhibition of the Orkney Arts and Crafts Group. There will be around 60 stalls, and all work is made by locals. It's well worth a visit, as it's free and there's sure to be something for everyone!

Friday 5th June - Wednesday 29th July
Monday - Saturday
8:45 am - 3.45 pm

I've been working really hard this summer and have lots of stock. Some of my work is on offer, so that I can make some space in my art room!
I'll be at the Town Hall on the 6th June, 9th June, and the 16th of June if you want to pop by and say hi. I'd love to chat.

The best day off today - walking along the shore in Stromness, before a sauna and a swim in the sea with lovely friends. Yes, the sea was cold!

I never tire of these stunning views.

Holidaying at home!

What a wonderful week spent catching up with friends who made the long trip to see us. It made me realise I'm so blessed to live on holiday permanently!

I couldn't fault the weather, and it was great to take time to explore Orkney again. A trip to Hoy to walk to the Old Man and then back through the valley was at the top of the list. It didn't disappoint.

The sea at Birsay was mesmerising, and the colours were just gorgeous. I'm ready to get back into my art again and feel thoroughly refreshed.

Seadrift 1 and Seadrift 2

Introducing some new artwork. Inspired by the gorgeous blues and turquoise hues of the seas around the Orkney.

These limited edition 9 x 9 inch signed giclee prints will be on my website shortly. They will also be available at Sheila Fleet's Kirkwall and the Kirk Gallery.

I hope they bring that peaceful feeling I find from just being by the sea.

Artwork on its way!

After a trip to the best post office around, I made a quick detour to Baikies Store for a wee bakery treat. I love this walk over the hill and the views. It amuses me, as it looks like stepping off into the unknown. It's a great walk, not such a good journey on an icy road. Thankfully, spring is on its way.

I'm happy to post any of my artwork in a wee box along with a note. It's a great way to send a birthday present!
