I'm an artist with an online shop and open studio, creating detailed and whimsical images of rural scenes and nature. Sharing artwork, studio, and life 😁

I’m Sally, an artist based at Black Swan Arts in Frome. I work mainly in emulsion and watercolour, creating detailed and whimsical images of nature and rural scenes, and the quiet moments of connection we find in nature. My work often weaves together themes of ecology and creativity, drawing inspiration from the resilience and beauty of nature and our spaces in it. On this page I’ll be sharing new artwork, behind-the-scenes glimpses from my studio, and updates about exhibitions and projects. I’d love to connect with you here — whether you’re an art lover, nature enthusiast, or simply curious about the creative process.

Very tempting to batten down the hatches and spend the rest of this week in front of the fire…. 😊 A quiet heads up to let you know as some have been asking, that all things 🎅🏻are now online (link in bio)

I just love this time of the year, falling leaves and fallen conkers, the colours are all so beautiful 🤩

Happy Friday! I’ve been working on a few things for next year 😁 Hegarty has been taking a sabbatical in my artwork folders and I thought it was about time she made an appearance 🐓 I would very much like to keep the live versions one day! Have a lovely weekend everyone ✨ ❤️

I’ve been having fun designing more stationery this week, Horace has found his way on to jotter pads 🦔 ….looking forward to tackling the gift wrap next, there’s nothing quite like a lovely large blank space to fill 😁

It’s still beautiful here but with a slight Autumnal chill, prompting thoughts of home and interiors for some drawing board inspiration…. ☺️
