New socks on the needles. This is the first time I’m trying Luca-S yarn. It’s called Woolen Walk in the colour 209, 4 ply Superwash Wool in 50g ball size. Purchased from Sew and So.
I’m finding it lovely to knit with; soft with a little bit of tooth which I like.

It’s a finish….. even with today’s temperature of 32C while stitching in the remaining ends. This is a blanket made from the left over yarn from socks I’ve knitted; except for the cream coloured yarn which I needed to bring all the squares together. The cream yarn gives the bright colours of the squares a chance to show off.

Cream yarn is Yarnsmith’s Merino from Wool Warehouse

Colourful sock yarn is an assortment of West Yorkshire Spinners King Cole Yarn & Pattern Supplier Greenlambkin Yarn

What to do with the little leftovers of yarn from knitting socks? I’ve been making crochet squares and joining them into a blanket. I did purchase three skeins of Yarnsmiths Merino from Wool Warehouse to bring the squares together. The plain colour shows off the variety of colours in the squares to best effect. Really pleased with how it’s turning out and it’s lovely and warm too.
