Seaforth Designs Textile Artist Emma Iles founded Seaforth designs & opened their Solva shop 'Seaforth Home' in 2023

Living in a fishing village in Pembrokeshire, I take inspiration from the natural world around me, from the colours of the heathers and wading birds in the harbour and use fabrics in my work to reflect this. Having sewn professionally for many years I also draw from experiences in the past, having worked in a variety of stimulating environments including curtain restoration for the William Morris

Society, seamstress work for an Italian bespoke tailor, high street shops and wedding dresses. In Spring 2014 I was lucky enough to be chosen from hundreds to showcase her cushion designs at the Country Living Spring Fair, London. This was a fabulous experience and led to the Mr Fox design featuring in the September issue of the Magazine and several times on the BBC Spring/Autumn/Winter watch sofas! The life boat visits Solva Harbour ⚓️
This Thursday evening, the All-Weather Lifeboat will be launching at 5.30pm and heading straight to Solva Harbour! There will be a RNLI stall on the Quay from 6pm with raffle tickets and tours of the lifeboat will be possible from 6.30pm.

JULY 🩵 Dreamy summer blues in cotton and mixed tweeds make up this lighthouse cushion. Evoking images of the seaside and coastal memories. Because all my cushions are handmade in small batches they can vary very slightly but I try my best to make them as true to the images on our website. Of course this also means I can play around with ones for the shops, so you are often buying a ‘one of a kind’ piece if you pop in to either our Solva home store or St Davids summer shop.
