Another Me-Made for . Living by the sea, I am often battling against the wind and today is a gusty one!!
I have many of these headbands and scarves that I have made in different fabrics. Probably one of my most worn me-made as I like to keep my ears warm and feel snuggly out there in the bracing wind.
This is a pattern I designed myself to be made as a zero waste pattern. It is simple because the pattern pieces are all rectangles. The pattern shows you how to make a scarf, snuggly close neck/ear-warmer and a headband all from exactly 65 cm of stretch fabric or an infinity scarf from 75cm of non-stretch fabric

Mia, who comes to our after school club, saw a top in a shop that she really liked so she decided to re-create it for herself. She spent a lot of time draping fabric on the stand before working out how to make an amazing finished piece to wear.

WEN is the new venue for Recreational Wardrobe's weekend Wardrobe Talks and Craft sessions.

The events will take place on the second Saturday of each month, starting on Saturday 9th May.

Wardrobe Talks celebrate makers and the magic of slow craft. The first date will be an introduction to this community crafting group. Veronika will talk about how crafting and creativity impacts our health and well-being.

Bring your half-finished projects to work on, share your upcycling ideas, or just come along to enjoy the company of like-minded people and have a good chat!

Free event, with tea and biscuits for a small donation.

Sarah use the free sewing pattern from Fabricartdiy.com to make this very practical lunch box. She used some insulated foam fabric that was in our Re-Craftery scraps to give it stability. This made it tricky to sew but of-course, Sarah used her skill and patience to make a fantastic lunch bag.

Alison has completed a blouse and it fits her perfectly. The reason for the great fit is that she first made a toile out of an old bedsheet and made all of the alterations needed. The finished garment was made from a very nice drapey fabric which presented new challenges as it always does! Alison took it all in her very capable sewing stride.
