Today’s transformation, customer saw some of our previous installations and decided to go down the brick slip route. We swept the chimney, removed the stove, raised the beam as it was too close to the fire.
Brick slips chamber and wraparound to existing fireboard and pointed up with natural coloured lime mortar. Stove reinstalled, another happy customer 👍🔥

Completed today, gas fireplace removed, chimney swept, chamber opened up, Brazillian slate hearth laid, fire board and brick slip chamber, medium oak beam fitted. Large Tinderbox multifuel stove and flue liner fitted. Another Happy customer 👍🔥🔥

Two fireplace revamps and a stove replacement in the same house.
First room
Old dated stove removed, chimney swept, fireboard removed, black granite hearth and timber surround salvaged. New tile boards fitted, granite slips fitted to shield wood from the heat, new Purevision PV5 multifuel stove installed with flue liner.
Second room
Full fireplace completely removed, Purevision fire removed and cleaned up ready for refitting. Chimney swept, new Granite hearth fitted, tiled boards fitted, Granite slips and Palmerston cast surround fitted. Existing Purevision stove refitted 👍🔥🔥

Two fireplaces in one house, one fireplace already to take the stove and flue liner, it just needed the chimney sweeping before installation.
The other required more work, the customer did an amazing job of cleaning the 2 coats of paint off this beautiful original slate surround.
We removed some of the tiled insert, salvaged the outer section, cut honed granite hearth to fit around the base of the surround. Lined the chamber out with fireboard, swept chimney, installed Mi Fires Large Tinderbox multifuel stove and flue liner. Customer painted the chamber overnight before we fitted the stove.

Completed today, gas fireplace removed and chamber opened up. Lintel fitted, Brazillian slate hearth laid, Fireboard and bricks slips to chamber and pointed up. Japanese oak beam fitted, chimney swept, Mi Fires Large Tinderbox multifuel stove and flue liner installed. Another very happy customer 👍🔥

Another day, another put right.
Izzy went to sweep this chimney a few weeks back but was concerned about how the stove had been connected to the flue. She decided not to sweep it as she suspected she wouldn’t be able to clear the sooty deposits from above the register plate which could be flammable. We returned today, removed the old plate and fitted a closure plate and flue liner. The previous installer hadn’t signed the install off with HETAS either.
We commissioned the install, instructed the customer on do’s and don’t and the installation will be signed off with HETAS. All safe and ready for winter

Completed today, old fireplace removed, false chimney breast altered and rebuilt in lightweight Blockwork, cladded with plasterboard ready to be skimmed, we supplied the Dik Guerts Ivar 5 log burner and flue system. Customer supplied Honed granite hearth and Herringbone brick boards 🔥
