Two beautiful Victorian cast iron combination fireplaces, currently on display in our showroom. Both are wonderfully decorative examples, featuring elaborate original cast detailing and striking period tiles — from the rich amber, ochre and terracotta Pilkington tiles of the second, to the bold ochre-yellow floral relief tiles of the first.

This is an absolute show-stopper of a grouping!

A Victorian “Rocket” surround in grey slate with plum-slate corbels, circa 1890, is shown with an original late Victorian tiled insert.

The tiles, by John Barratt are exceptionally rare in this colour-way and are in pristine condition (among the best we’ve had), circa 1900.

In truth, this is one of the most elegant looking chimney pieces we’ve had in quite some time!
