Isn’t this gorgeous? A homemade concertina book with a black background, featuring a collection of vessels. Made by Yvonne in the Continued Learning Group, this is design preparation for the next Viewpoints exhibition which is themed Collections. It will be showing at Forge Mill Needle Museum & Bordesley Abbey Visitor Centre next September. The last Viewpoints exhibition there was wonderful, so do make a note in your diaries xx

It’s my stitch group tomorrow - and I’m leading a session of potato printing. Maybe that seems very childish ? Well yes - it is! But it fits in beautifully with my theory of the inner child artist. Let that child out to play, and you can make glorious materials with the simplest techniques ###

Another beautiful piece of work from the Strippy Scrappy Patchwork Still Life workshop. This one was made by one of my American students - who is struggling with the appalling things the orange man is inflicting on her country and the world. Luckily we have safe creative spaces, which are full of love and support, and can serve to remind us that friendship, art, beauty and care will always be there for us - even in the toughest times. And I believe they will always win out.
She can’t see how beautiful this is right now (well done for still sharing!) - but we can can’t we?! ###
