Have to find butterflies where ever I go 🖤🦋 The Uri Silkmoths were fascinating how they were all grouped on a tree. Rescued a Monarch from being squished on the floor so I’ve done my good deed for the day ☺️😂

So I went to the National History Museum in London specially to see loads of insects but that section was closed as the lift was broken… There was a small exhibit with some butterflies and beetles but still sad 🥲😂

The camouflage on butterfly wings always amazes me. You can see the more dull colours on the underside of the wings to hide from predators and the ‘eyes’ on some of them to scare any threats and then the 2nd slide shows the beautiful bright colours for attracting mates & looking toxic to predators. The colour on the wings is made up of thousands of tiny scales which is also fascinating 🖤🦋

Had a very busy weekend at The Botanical Gardens with which was a lovely venue and was finally back in Nuneaton with 🖤🖤 Filled my pinning board again with loads of bugs ready for a weekend of restocking at .and.bloom and and then getting ready for market at the Secret Space in Birmingham on the 17th!! Thank you all for keeping me busy 🖤🪲🦋🕷️
