Few materials possess the presence of black petrified wood.

Used here as dramatic wall panelling surrounding the fireplace, its deep, mineral-rich tones and naturally intricate markings create a surface of extraordinary depth - each panel revealing patterns shaped over millennia.

Privileged to be invited to a very private reveal of the staggering new Jaguar Type 01, a full week before its world launch in New York. A bold reset for a great British marque. Low, long and restrained in its lines, but what held my attention was the metal.

Jaguar calls it the Impossible Panel: one continuous piece of aluminium along the rear quarter, pressed in six stages. Their own software said it could not be made in that material, but Jaguar solved it by hand, through trial and error. Five surfaces and three lines meet at a single point, with no splits and no compromise.

Over 1,000hp, but the craftsmanship is what stays with you. This is surface treated as seriously as structure, and that is the standard we try to work to every day.
