✨ Maker Feature: Ally Glass Studio ✨

This week we're featuring the wonderfully talented (and wonderfully fun!) Ally from Ally Glass Studio. 💙

If you've visited Made At No.16, you'll almost certainly have spotted Ally's beautiful fused glass and jewellery catching the light from across the room. Each piece is handmade with care, creating unique wearable pieces that are both colourful and timeless.

But behind every maker is a person, and one of the things we love about Ally is that she brings just as much personality to the shop as she does creativity. This week's photos show both sides of Ally - from a childhood photo that gives a little glimpse into where the story began, to a much more recent picture that perfectly captures her fun-loving, playful nature! 😆

It's easy to look at handmade work and only see the finished product, but every piece has a real person behind it, with their own story, sense of humour and creative journey. That's one of the things that makes supporting handmade so special.

From Sunday 14th June, we’ll be opening on Sundays throughout the summer - giving you even more time to wander, explore and discover all the beautiful handmade treasures tucked into every corner of the shop.

One of the things people love most about Made At No.16 is the atmosphere. With its wonky walls, old beams, creaky character and cosy little corners filled with handmade finds, the shop is somewhere to slow down and properly look around.

Every turn seems to reveal something new - from ceramics and artwork to jewellery, textiles, candles and gifts handmade by local independent makers.

🌊 A new window display has washed up at Made At No.16 🌊

Our latest window is bringing all the seaside summer vibes to the shop, with a collection of handmade treasures inspired by the coast and ocean life.

Featuring Beachy boys reversible dungarees from Bobe, beautiful seascape cushions from A&I Creations, a stunning lampshade decorated with ocean creatures from Thistle & Thread, delicate Ally Glass sailed boats and plenty more seaside-inspired finds, it's a little glimpse of summer right here in Ludlow. ☀️⛵

But that's not all that's washed ashore...

You'll have to take a closer look to spot all the hidden treasures tucked amongst the display. 👀

Today we're celebrating Sue from Bramble Cottage Artworks. 🌿🎨

Sue's artwork is inspired by the beauty of the natural world, with much of her work featuring wildlife, birds, flowers and the countryside she lives in that so many of us love. Her distinctive style captures both character and detail, creating pieces that bring a little bit of nature indoors.

Whether you're looking for a striking piece of artwork, a thoughtful gift or simply something that makes you smile every time you see it, Sue's work has a wonderful way of connecting people to the wildlife around them.
