It was a pleasure for us to return to Upton Junior School and fit another blind for them, this time in the music room! They have quite big panoramic windows so you can appreciate how much light comes in to the room but with many that are also south facing it can very extreme then adding the intense heat we have been experiencing you can imagine how uncomfortable teaching and learning can be then there’s is the impact the uva and uvb rays have on the equipment - this is all now greatly reduced and not only that the blinds will help reduce how much cold comes in as they now go through autumn and winter - keeping their central heating inside the rooms managed with blind.

As you can imagine, the heat was intense here in Tuckton! With pleats to the roof lantern to managing the heat and the glare from above to perfect fit Venetians to help with privacy control and heat and glare on this south facing window and also an awning for external shading - actually the best for of shading for a home to curtains to really dress the space but to also give these home owners full year round energy efficiency in their home.

A recent fit in Fontmell Magna for this home, with a lovely cotton mix floral print, roman blinds in their kitchen and simple eyelet curtain in their living areas, it’s lightened up their rooms whilst giving them shade through the summer and when the temperature drops will keep the heat inside where it’s needed when the blinds and curtains are closed.

Wow… what a summer! ☀️🐝

Possibly our busiest yet - and certainly a hot one!

Our team has been incredibly busy helping homes across Dorset and the surrounding areas become cooler, more comfortable and beautifully shaded, with solutions that work with their interiors as well as their everyday lives.

And it hasn’t all been plain sailing behind the scenes. We’ve juggled holidays, an unexpected hospital stay and emergency surgery for one of our full-time team, and an exceptionally busy diary - but everyone has pulled together to keep things moving and look after our customers.

So, heading into the Bank Holiday weekend, we wanted to say a HUGE thank you. 💛

This summer for Jo and Simon has been about adjusting to their first born completing his GCSE’s and finishing school. Although the weather has been great, enquiries through the roof and business making great sailing it’s been a very different course for home-life.

We are super proud of our son for finally making it through the other side of eduction, he worked the best he could and his results should get him in to his college course he so desperately wants to do - we find out next week!

For anyone who maybe thought they had a bit of a curveball yesterday, I hope this message I had helps a little?

I hope they aren’t feeling too shell shocked and that the summer has been about un-schooling them.

My take is there isn’t just one route anymore. I hope your child can relax over the next few days and that you can take them somewhere inspirational for at least the next 6 months(not everyday of course! We gotta pay them bills! 🤪) no matter what September is to them. 🙏🏼
