Since the customer’s chimney opening was quite small, we opted to brick it up and install a freestanding Stovax Studio on a bench in front. This approach enabled us to fit a larger stove while still utilising the existing brick flue. It’s an effective solution for smaller openings if you have the space in your room. 👌🔥

This customer had an external chimney, which meant the internal wall was completely flat. They wanted a TV and soundbar above the stove, but did not want any brackets or cables visible. To achieve this, I built a compact metal stud chimney breast with a recessed section so the TV would sit flush and hide the power feeds, Sky box and aerial connections.

A honed granite hearth was installed. I then created a feature wall behind the stove using brick slips, added downlights to the closure plate, and fitted a non-combustible Focus Cast beam in a honey oak finish. The installation was completed with the Purevision BPV5 multi-fuel stove as the focal point. 👌🔥
