Lounge & Dining Room Concept
A timeless and elegant lounge and dining room scheme inspired by the refined, traditional character of the quiet luxury aesthetic. The design combines soft, calming neutrals with muted blue tones to create a welcoming and sophisticated interior that feels both classic and fresh.
The walls feature Borrowed Blue by Farrow & Ball, bringing a gentle, airy blue to the room and providing a beautiful backdrop for the furnishings and patterned textiles. Half-height wall panelling is finished in Wimborne White by Farrow & Ball, adding architectural detail and a crisp contrast to the blue walls while maintaining the light, relaxed feel of the scheme.
The flooring is specified by Ted Todd, introducing natural warmth and texture underfoot and complementing the traditional detailing of the panelling. To add character and pattern, wallpaper by GP & J Baker brings an elegant decorative layer to the scheme, working harmoniously with the coordinated fabrics and furnishings.
The overall palette of soft whites, dusty blues, natural wood tones and delicate botanical patterns creates a cohesive lounge and dining space that is comfortable, elegant and distinctly timeless. Patterned upholstery and layered textiles add depth and personality, while the considered mix of traditional finishes and contemporary styling gives the room a polished yet inviting atmosphere.
Traditional-style lighting, natural wood finishes and considered decorative pieces will add warmth and personality, while artwork, mirrors and accessories will complete the space. The aim is to create a room that feels comfortable, elegant and lived-in, with a timeless country-house feel rather than appearing overly formal.
