Puffins and co, New York, Paris, London, and now Hull! It's never dull in Hull they say and it's a little brighter now that Puffins and Co are there, proud to be stocked at Art and Soul , Humber Street, Hull - it's a really nice area with lots of quirky art shops and an array of vibrant eating establishments, and the marina is just around the corner, if you're in Hull and have time be sure to check the area out, and maybe purchase a puffin or two whilst here!

Restock at Art and Soul, Beverley, it looks good and I'm pleased with the variety of pieces, it's full time keeping my shop accounts fully stocked, but hey it's good, going to get tougher soon as from 1st September I'm in Art and Soul in Hull, so we're rocking on!

I've been called many things, "The mole man" ( mole control) , The bass man ( bass fishing) and now " The puffin man" haha " Is the puffin man here?", "The puffin man is moaning (again)", "The puffin man will know" , it's all sweet, and I've been called a lot worse, as we all have, but I'm not exclusively all about puffins, although I'm very proud of my "parrots of the sea", I'm equally proud of my other birds and designs, and here's a small example, all created with love and driftwood themed

I ho! I ho! It's off to work I go! Man I love this job, fancy having to sit at a computer all day, or deal with awkward customers? no thanks you can stick it - we don't get many on shore winds in Summer, so when a good Nor Easterly kicks in me and Spud will be out to see what Poseidon has delivered - a lovely piece of bark free hard wood, get it on my back and up the cliff! It will be chopped into slices and made into numerous pieces that will find there way onto shelves and mantelpieces - I ho! I Ho! I Ho!

Busy week, I don't mind this hot weather but boy it does drain me, thankfully I'm free to have afternoon naps, cleaned some garbage out of my flat, and stocked up some shop accounts, still managed to knock out some pieces ready for the weekend fair, hope you like the oystercatchers, plus plenty of distractions, the world cup, and the bass season is in full swing, work definitely stops with those two!

I've spent hours and hours underneath these majestic cliffs in pursuit of cod and bass. Most people see Bempton from the heights, and although we do fish from the tops, summer is the time to be below, fishing has been my life's passion, it's my drug of choice, and it fueled my interest in driftwood and the art I now produce, I had a long walk down there yesterday and am pleased to say I still have the touch, catching bass and of course now filling my bag with wood!

Puffins and co on tour, having , I think, a well earned break, 4 days hiking in the Dales, weather very good although a tad hot, here I am on Great Shutter Fell, Yorkshires 3rd highest peak at 713 m, so I can still do it, just! Ale and food top notch, I'll soon be back hammering out my puffins
