“All the world’s a stage… and today Cambridge Market was one of its finest scenes.”

✨ “We are such stuff as dreams are made on.” – The Tempest

Shakespeare came to Cambridge Market today as one of the wonderful Cambridge Shakespeare Company actors stopped by our stall while promoting this week’s performances of The Tempest.

It felt rather fitting… because markets, like theatre, are full of stories waiting to be discovered. Every antique has a past, every treasure a tale, and every visit brings the chance to find something unexpected.

Amazing sounds .
We are loving this busker who played a brilliant dj set all afternoon while our customers mooched the best antiques in the city.

Clearing items from the La Vintique showroom. This is a victorian original 19thc dresser which we had customised for display in the shop.
As we are Cambridge markets and online this is available for sale.
We have doors for the bottom should you want them which have leaded glass. There is also a drawer to the left not shown in images.
It separates into two sections for transport.

A real treasure of a find in perfect condition.

We love it, and have dared to display it at on Tuesday.
Tomorrow we will be showcasing it again and at the weekend.

The most beautiful figurine called distress.
She looks for her lost love for over 100 years and clings to her anchor anxiously, unending, infinite in her wait.
A heart wrenching capture of that feeling some may relate to.
Where love dwells in a grief stricken place, or hollow void that yearns for someone.
May you have an anchor to keep looking forward,
to have hope,
to carry on.

This figurine will be at tomorrow.
Will you come and help look for her love?
