Come fry with me, come fry with me… 🎶🍳
Let’s create with a stir of the spoon.

Yep, you know the song.

That’s now stuck in your head all day. 😂

Unlike your dinner, which won’t be sticking to this SCANPAN HaptIQ frying pan. It’s our best seller for a reason!

And you don’t need to fly to Jupiter or Mars to find one either.

Available online or in store at your independent cookshop in Stoke-on-Trent. Yes… down at Trentham Gardens. 👋

Thank you. Let’s all be a bit Frank.

Open every day from 10am.

Check out this 🍆 lid… 😳 we added some more to choose from!!!

Apparently ‘that one’ is one of our most popular at the moment. We’ll leave that there.

If your bowls, frying pans or random leftovers need keeping under wraps, these Charles Viancin lids are brilliant little things.

They seal under their own weight, help keep food fresher for longer and can go in the microwave, oven and dishwasher.

And unlike cling film, they actually brighten the place up a bit. 🍋🍅🍉🍊

Available in loads of designs and sizes from 15cm to 28cm.

Pop one on a bowl, a pan, a dish… or just buy the aubergine because it’s purple. It’s a popular colour!

Open 10am

Three new Stellar Zero additions have landed. 🍳

Because apparently one pan is never enough.

Small one. Bigger one. Deeper one. Different jobs, different moods, same general idea… cook something decent and don’t make life harder than it needs to be.

Winter cooking is here, so if your current pans are wobbling, peeling or generally behaving like they’ve given up, maybe it’s time. 😂

Pop into us at Trentham Gardens and have a look.

Options? We’ve got them.

The humble teaspoon. 🥄

Why am I posting about this, you ask?

Well, we don’t offer a huge spread of teaspoons. Butter knives, yes. Teaspoons, no. We offer this one because it’s become a firm favourite.

And we’re quietly confident it might make you realise that not all cutlery is created equal.

Start small. One spoon. ☕

If you love it as much as we think you will, then you can build the rest of the set from there, all available in store and online. This is from the Robert Welch - Malvern collection!

We could waffle on about balance, finish, weight and how it feels in the hand…

But ultimately, it’s a spoon. 😂

A very good spoon.

And if you’re going to take the trouble to make good food, decent cutlery seems a pretty sensible way to finish the job.

Not fazed? Swipe past. We won’t be offended. 😄

We’re open from 10am at Trentham Gardens. Free parking, a proper independent cookshop and plenty more than teaspoons to have a nose at. 👋

A good knife isn’t just about how sharp it looks. 🔪

It’s how it feels in your hand. The balance. The blade length. Whether it’s actually right for the job you’re asking it to do.

Then there’s the steel itself. How hard it is, how well it holds an edge and how easy it is to bring back when it eventually needs sharpening.

And that last bit? A little bit “how long is a piece of string” 😄 It depends on the steel, how often you use it and, importantly, what you’re cutting on.

Glass? Marble? Stainless steel? Please don’t. 😬

And while we’re here, dishwashers are a no from us too.

“Dishwasher safe” might mean you can. It doesn’t mean you should.

Hand wash. Dry straight away. Store safely. Your knives will thank you for it.

We keep a carefully chosen selection of knives from makers around the world, not just the usual off-the-shelf stuff, and we’re always looking to add something interesting.

So if you want proper advice rather than just picking one because the handle looks nice, head down and see us at Trentham Gardens. We’ll help you choose the right knife for the way you actually cook.

Open from 10am. 👋
And of course, available online too, with age and identity verification required where applicable.

A sharp knife, used properly, is a safer knife. 🔪

Just because it’s now freezing cold doesn’t mean we’re giving up on the BBQ. 🔥🥶

Smoked haddock, butter, milk and bay leaves. Simple, comforting and exactly what we want when the temperature drops. 🐟🧈 it’s also fragrance free in the great outdoors 😀

Served with soda bread for dipping, mopping and making sure absolutely none of that buttery milk gets left behind. That’s my choice anyway. 🥖

Cooked in the SCANPAN TechnIQ Roaster.

Yes, it’s an investment. But life is too short for average cookware, especially if you actually enjoy cooking.

And that’s the thing with good cookware. Versatility matters. Hob, oven, indoors, outdoors, whatever you fancy cooking next. 🔥

Head down to our little shop at Trentham Gardens and have a nose around our cookware for indoors, outdoors and everywhere in between. Instore and online!

Open from 10am! 👋

Darker nights, winter warmers, ghostly ghouls 👻 and a teacloth that anyone with a soft spot for Stoke really must own. 🖤

Pop into your local independent cookshop at Trentham Shopping Village. We’re open from 10am every day.

Cookware to get you inspired, tools and gadgets, a good sharp knife and, of course, these neat little ghost candles to give your dinner table a bit of character. 🍂🕯️

Come and have a mooch. We’d love to see you!

Get your lids out! 🌸🌻🍃

Stick one on your dish before reheating in the microwave, slap one on a frying pan instead of hunting for the right lid, or even pop them in the oven (ideally on a pot).

Dishwasher safe, BPA free and available in some rather fabulous designs.

They’re practical, reusable and ready to brighten up your kitchen table… although I will add, I suspect they’ll look even better next summer when we’re eating outside again! ☀️😂

And yes, they make a rather lovely little gift for someone who has everything… apart from a lid that looks like a poppy or a tomato. 🌺 🍅

Pop in and have a browse, or take a peek online. We’ve got you covered… quite literally!

🌸 Shop online at simmerandslice.co.uk or pop in and see us at Trentham Gardens!

It’s savoury tray bake season 🍅🔥 and who doesn’t love a tray bake?

The nights are darker, it’s (sort of) getting cooler 🍂 and the oven is definitely earning its keep again.

We offer a great selection of oven dishes in different materials, shapes and sizes, all built to last.

How passionate can you be about an oven dish? Very, as it turns out. 😄

Pop into the shop or browse online to discover some brilliant options from Emile Henry, Scanpan, Anchor and more, perfect for everyday savoury bakes, bubbling gratins, roasted veg and easy midweek dinners. 🥘

We’re also totally addicted to butter beans at the moment 🫘 butter beans, tomato and feta bakes, kale, garlic, sausage and bean trays… the possibilities are endless.

Basically, find a good oven dish and give it something delicious to do. 👩‍🍳

Let’s talk cutlery… 🍴

Robert Welch Malvern has remained a firm favourite with our customers, whether it’s for everyday eating, Sunday lunch or getting the posh stuff out because somebody’s coming round. 😏

Available in sets or individually, so you can build your collection, replace the teaspoon that mysteriously disappeared 🥄 or just add a few extra pieces.

Need steak knives to match? Yep… we’ve got those as well. 🥩🔪

We have other Robert Welch collections available too, but Malvern just keeps doing its thing… and rather nicely.

Nothing stopping you calling down to Trentham today for a proper mooch.

In store and online.

Happy Saturday! ❤️

Open 10am to 5pm… and you know… FREE PARKING! 🚗🙌
