A charming early 20th Century French travelling hat trunk. Circa 1920.

Bearing the original brass retailer’s plaque for Madame F. Thérot of Villefranche-de-Rouergue. Constructed with a canvas-covered body, leather-bound edges and brass fittings, the case retains a well-preserved interior with linen lining, blue webbing retaining straps and removable tray. Original brass lock, with a turn-key mechanism, operated by turning the key clockwise to open and anti-clockwise to secure.

⭐️Charming Pair of Early 20th Century French Provincial Folk Art Pedestal Pedestal Stands⭐️

Crafted in solid wood, each stand features a circular top decorated with geometric star marquetry, raised on a turned central column and shaped base. The rustic craftsmanship, warm aged patina and naïve folk-art detailing give the pair considerable decorative character. Reflecting the traditional country furniture associated with rural French interiors, they are ideal as plant stands, lamp tables or display pedestals.

Dimensions: 79cm h x 35cm w x 35cm d/ Top diameters 29 and 30cm.
