Proof that the smallest rooms can have a big impact.

For this Cotswolds home, we saw the downstairs cloakroom as an opportunity to be expressive with colour and materials. A bespoke smoked oak vanity is topped with a beautiful Violetta honed marble for a luxurious finish.

The walls are wrapped in ‘Papyrus’ wallpaper from Lewis & Wood, a design that is perfectly balanced by the rich, enveloping colour on the ceiling, panelling and woodwork – ‘Adventurer’ by Little Greene.

It’s a small s**ce with a confident character, and a reminder that great design isn’t reserved for the larger rooms in a home.

It’s often the final layer of lighting that makes a s**ce feel complete.

Within the bright, triple-aspect living room at our Rosewood Manor project, we designed this reading corner as a comfortable retreat.

The elegant Camberwell floor lamp from our friends at Jim Lawrence Lighting & Home Interiors casts a warm, downward glow – perfect for getting lost in a book without disturbing the rest of the room.

A considered reconfiguration transformed this primary suite into a sequence of s**ces that feel both beautiful and practical.

Within this 16th-century Berkshire farmhouse, the previously oversized bathroom was reimagined as a dedicated dressing room and en-suite. Bespoke joinery maximises storage, while handcrafted Zellige tiles, a Carrara marble vanity and the original vaulted ceilings bring together the home’s heritage with a contemporary approach to living.

A boot room is rarely just for boots! At our Lark’s Barn project, this s**ce is the hard-working link between the Grade II listed home and the garden.

Bespoke joinery, finished in an earthy green, was designed to conceal everything a busy family home needs - from the laundry appliances to everyday clutter.

Paired with a durable herringbone terracotta floor tile, it’s a practical, characterful entrance that connects directly with the colours of the garden outside.

The most hardworking rooms deserve just as much character as the main living s**ces.

The vibrant yellow pantry at Lark’s Barn is a perfect example. While it’s a practical, ‘back-of-house’ s**ce, we designed it to be a corner of the home that brings a little joy to everyday routines. It proves that functional design doesn’t have to be an afterthought.

In a recent article, we explore the forgotten art of these essential s**ces – from pantries to boot rooms – and why they are so crucial to making a luxury home truly liveable.

Explore the principal bathroom at Lark’s Barn. The goal for this room was to create a refined retreat that still celebrates the barn’s architectural character.

The original exposed beams provide so much texture and history, so we contrasted them with clean lines and a palette of warm, natural materials. Polished plaster walls add a soft, tactile quality, while the elegant vanity by Parker Howley & Co brings a touch of contemporary simplicity.

It’s a s**ce that feels both restorative and completely connected to the story of the building.

Belgian Farmhouse style interiors are defined by their harmonious blend of rustic charm and refined elegance - an approach we embraced at Lark’s Barn.

Here, dramatic cathedral-like ceilings with exposed reclaimed timber beams celebrate the building’s heritage, while contemporary details - from unlacquered brass taps to bespoke cabinetry - create a striking balance between old and new.

Placing the kitchen at the very heart of this open-plan layout creates a sense of togetherness, in keeping with the Belgian farmhouse ethos of warmth, authenticity and understated style.

A guest bedroom is an opportunity to create a world of its own. For this guest suite in the Cotswolds, our design journey began with a defining element: this captivating wallpaper from Lewis & Wood.

This became our anchor, informing a considered palette of colours and finishes that weave a seamless narrative from the bedroom through to the en-suite. The result is a room designed to feel bold, luxurious and beautifully welcoming.

A dash of pattern can completely transform a room.

For this Cotswolds kitchen, we balanced the calm, classic feel of the joinery with a moment of personality in the blind fabric - ‘Wild Side’ by Mulberry Home.

The tones of the floral fabric create an inviting focal point above the sink, beautifully complementing the bronze hardware, quartz worktops and natural stone flooring.
