15 years ago today, I was lucky enough to marry my best friend and love of my life, Paul ❤️

To celebrate our Crystal wedding anniversary, we are spreading the love by donating 100% of farmstand sales to a cause we both feel passionate about.

As many of you are aware, the government has stated their plan to phase out animal testing by 2030. Whilst this is positive and we now have superior and ethical research methods available, there are thousands of animals in the UK right now, including beagle puppies that are being bred for experimentation.

They’ll never feel the grass or sun or live to see their 1st birthdays. We and countless others believe that a good start to the phase-out is to shut down the UK’s abhorrent laboratory beagle breeding factory farm, MBR Acres in Cambridgeshire. The campaign is being supported by MP’s, parliamentarians, vets, celebrities & thousands of people up and down the country & globally.

The Great Owslebury Scarecrow Trail has arrived! This year, the theme is ‘Icons’ and ours is of one of my most beloved childhood animal icons. The dog who stole hearts and saved lives… on a daily basis! (Just don’t ask how we got her to her allocated spot outside The Granary! Thanks so much for offering us your grass verge this year! It’s good to know she’s staying with a dog lover!)

With 43 wonderful scarecrows throughout our lovely village to find and name, this year’s trail is set to be the best yet! Do come and enjoy it if you can ❤️

Finally, the female-led British flower farming industry has the recognition it deserves, thanks to Flowers From The Farm 👏👏👏

Britain’s hidden £30m flower farming industry gets official recognition — just in time for Chelsea

An industry dominated by women, built on birdsong and biodiversity, has spent years invisible to government statistics. That changes now. Walk into a British flower farm in summer and the birdsong is almost deafening. But until this week, the Treasury couldn’t hear it. The £30 million* a year generated by the UK’s flower farming industry has, until now, been invisible, absorbed into the catch-all figures of broader agriculture, its contribution uncounted, its flower growers unrecognised. That changes today. Flowers from the Farm, the trade body representing over a thousand British flower growers, has been awarded dedicated Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) codes, the formal economic identifiers that allow a sector to exist, officially, in the eyes of government, funders and policymakers.

The award of SIC codes, secured with persistent backing from Liberal Democrat MP Sarah D**e, is more than a bureaucratic milestone. For the first time, the economic contribution of British flower farming can be tracked, measured, and used as the basis for funding applications, academic research, and government support.
