BDK Architects have enjoyed another successful year during 2025, securing Planning & Building approvals for numerous clients including 12 Burrard Street new retail unit & 3 flats (surrounded by Listed buildings & a Listed place), developments in the Coastal National Park including a major extension to Grosnez Livery & Racing stables, and works to several Listed houses.

Wishing our valued Clients, our colleagues and other consultants we work with a Merry Christmas & a very Happy New Year. We look forward to working with you during 2026 to realise your aspirations.

Great to see our concept designs & drawings for Parish of St Saviour's proposed new landscaped Public Park in Fields S514 & S515 & Active Travel Improvements on display at their 10 May Liberation 80 – Family Fun Event. Our scheme will enrich community well-being by creating a high-quality, multi-functional space featuring open green areas, recreational facilities, and additional parking to support Parish Hall and Church events.

The vision is to create a vibrant, accessible space that encourages active lifestyles, supports community events, and promotes environmental sustainability, while improving neighbourhood pedestrian connectivity particularly to & from Grainville Secondary & St Saviours Primary Schools.

This supports goals of the Bridging Island Plan, enhancing community wellbeing aiming to improve quality of life providing sustainable green spaces and community facilities for Parishioners. These proposals are open for public consultation comments and feedback until 23 May with a drop-In session at the Parish Hall on Monday 12 May from 4.30pm to 6.30pm.

There has been very positive public feedback welcoming these proposals which will provide much needed public facilities and green relaxation space for all of St Saviour's Parishioners.

BDK Architects have had a great start to 2025, delivering three Planning approvals to our Clients: 1) Pending Planning Obligation Agreement 763 sqm extension to Malzard Racing and Livery at Grosnez in the Protected Coastal Area adding 10 new Livery Stables, with internal storage for equestrian bedding & feed plus 11 equipment vehicles. 2) 89 sqm first floor 3-Bedroom & 2-Bathroom extension to house in the Green Zone, creating a large 5-bedroom family house. 3) 20 sqm Study above detached garage in the Built-Up Area.

BDK Architects are delighted to announce the completion of a single-story extension to a private residence located on the outskirts of St. Helier. The project presented us with some unique challenges, which we successfully overcame alongside our Principal contractor K-LAND. As a result, we were able to deliver a superior quality extension to our client. BDK Architects wish all their clients, colleagues and builders a Very Happy New Year. We hope 2023 is going to be a good year for all of us. While out and about walking on New Years Day we passed a couple of our Listed Building renovation and extension projects in St Brelade's Bay, we took a couple of quick shots. Both looking good after some 20 years, particularly the sleek zinc-roofed Pavilion we designed replacing a horrible uPVC conservatory. Looking really great!

Double success for BDK Architects this evening at Jersey Architecture Commission 2022 Design Awards: Top Award for Best Example of Sustainable and/or Innovative Design plus Commendation for Best Large-Scale Refurbishment or Extension - Jersey Archive Extension. Chairman of the Jersey Architecture Commission and the Jersey Design Awards judging panel David Prichard praised BDK Architects work, saying "BDK's attention to detail is exemplary" with Patron of the Jersey Architects Association Colin Perchard adding "Design of the Jersey Archive Extension is quite extraordinary". We are thrilled and honoured by their and the judges recognition of our work.

Not only do we create beautiful buildings, but we also create excellent interior designs as well. Delighted to see a new high-class en-suite we designed today, looking really fabulous. Walk-in shower, recessed vanity cupboard over basin with touch LED lighting and sprung doors, replete with everything needed for a quality experience.
