This Ivan Clarke limited edition giclée recently left our workshop, and we couldn't help but share it.

There is something about Ivan Clarke's work that always makes people stop and take a second look. At first glance, it's a snowy ski scene, but before long you're noticing all the characters, expressions and little touches of humour woven throughout the artwork.

For this piece, we paired the print with a frame that gives it plenty of presence without overpowering the artwork itself.

It's always satisfying seeing a limited edition print move from being something carefully stored away to becoming a feature piece ready to be enjoyed every day.

Have you got a favourite artwork sitting in a spare room, in a cupboard, or under a bed, waiting to be framed?

Let our team bring it to life with a custom-made frame.

We recently had the privilege of framing this special Runathon 2026 event T-shirt, created as part of a fundraising campaign supporting the Wellington Free Ambulance.

Items like this are far more than just a shirt. They represent community spirit, personal achievement, generosity, and the collective effort of everyone involved in raising funds for an organisation that provides such an important service to our communities.

For this display, we combined the signed event T-shirt with a selection of photographs and a descriptive plaque, creating a custom presentation that helps tell the story behind the event. The shirt has been carefully mounted within a deep shadow box frame, allowing it to be displayed professionally while remaining protected from dust, handling, and everyday wear.

Whether it's a charity fundraiser, sporting achievement, milestone event, or a piece of personal memorabilia, custom framing can help preserve the memories and stories that matter most.

A big congratulations to everyone involved in Runathon 2026 and thank you to Wellington Free Ambulance for the incredible work you do every day.

We are excited to showcase a stunning collection of sculptures and artworks by Fran Dibble at Dibble Studio https://dibblestudio.co.nz/ within our gallery space.

These pieces beautifully combine texture, form, nature, and handcrafted details, creating an experience that is both calming and expressive.

It has been a pleasure to see these artworks installed and the display coming together. The combination of sculpture, framing, and original artwork results in a display that is truly worth experiencing in person.

If you are passing by, feel free to stop in and take a look!

Lars has been working creatively with a client to design something unique: a handcrafted leadlight panda. This piece is mounted so that it appears to float within the frame, adding depth and shadow to the artwork.

Behind the panda, an LED strip lighting system has been installed, allowing the piece to softly glow at night. This lighting transforms the artwork's look and feel when the lights are turned off.

It's a fun and innovative project that combines traditional leadlight craftsmanship with modern lighting effects.

We are excited to share this stunning artwork by Emma Bass, expertly framed by our team!

While many people choose traditional white or ornate frames, our bold client made a unique choice that truly stands out. The subtle metallic texture of the frame enhances the intricate details of the dandelions, while the mat boards give the artwork some breathing room before the frame starts.

If you have a special piece that deserves expert framing, come visit us, and let our team create a custom, one-of-a-kind frame just for you.

Every now and then, something a little different lands on the workbench…

These miniature metal figures might be small in size, but they carry a fair bit of character, and that’s exactly the kind of thing we enjoy working with.

Framing objects like this isn’t just about putting them behind glass. It’s about finding the right way to present them so the detail, texture, and story all come through without losing what makes them special in the first place.

Sometimes it’s medals, sometimes it’s memorabilia… and sometimes it’s something completely unexpected like this.

If you’ve got a collection, keepsake, or odd little treasure tucked away, it might be worth bringing it in for a chat. You’d be surprised what can be done with it.

It's easy to assume that everything is fine when the front of a frame looks good, but often, problems begin on the back.

In our workshop, we frequently encounter issues like old tapes coming loose, brittle backing boards, and worn-out hanging systems that are slowly deteriorating.

If these small problems are left unchecked, they can lead to more significant issues for the artwork and possibly your interior, especially if they fall off the wall, damaging paint, wallpaper, floorings and furniture.

If you have older pieces at home, it's a good idea to take a closer look at them.

If something seems off, feel free to bring it in. We're always happy to check it for you and provide recommendations.

Time for a freshen up...

If you’ve walked or driven past lately, you’ll have noticed we’ve got the scaffolding up and things looking a little… in progress.

We’re giving the shop front a well-earned refresh, sharpening the look, and making sure the outside reflects the level of care that goes into everything we do inside.

It’s one of those jobs that’s been on the list for a while, and it feels good to finally get stuck into it.

We’re still open as usual while it’s all happening, so don’t let the scaffolding put you off, there’s plenty going on behind it.

Looking forward to showing you the finished result soon.
