🌸🪴 Utricularia livida × sandersonii 🪴🌸

Utricularia livida × sandersonii is a charming bladderwort hybrid that produces an abundance of delicate flowers above a lush green carpet of foliage. Combining the beauty of both parent species, this hybrid is easy to grow and rewards growers with frequent blooms throughout the year.

Often called one of the cutest carnivorous plants, its tiny flowers resemble little rabbits dancing above the pot. Beneath the soil, microscopic bladder traps work silently to capture tiny organisms, making this plant both beautiful and fascinating.

🪰 Fun Fact: Venus Flytraps Don’t Snap Shut Immediately!

Many people think a Venus Flytrap closes the moment something touches it. In reality, it’s much smarter than that!

Inside each trap are tiny trigger hairs. To avoid wasting precious energy on raindrops, falling leaves, or debris, the trap usually requires two trigger hair stimulations within about 20 seconds before it snaps shut.

This remarkable adaptation helps the plant conserve energy and improves its chances of catching a nutritious meal. Even after the trap closes, the Venus Flytrap continues to monitor movement inside before beginning digestion.

⚠️ Please avoid triggering Venus Flytraps for fun. Every trap closure consumes energy, and repeated unnecessary triggering can weaken the plant and shorten the lifespan of individual traps.

🌿 We are grateful that all our current workshop classes are fully booked! Due to overwhelming demand, we will be opening new workshop slots soon. Stay tuned to our social media pages for upcoming dates and registration details.

We look forward to welcoming you and your family to one of our future workshops, where you can discover the amazing world of carnivorous plants through fun, hands-on learning experiences!
