Part 2 — The Painting.
The fused glass from Part 1 becomes my canvas. I sketch the design onto the glass, paint St. Francis stroke by stroke, add shading layer by layer — and after each round of painting, it goes back into the kiln.
Painted and fired, five times in total, until the colors settle into the glass for good.
No lead came. No copper foil. One solid piece of glass, painted by hand.
Made in commemoration of the 800th anniversary of the death of St. Francis of Assisi (1226–2026).
Missed Part 1? Watch how this glass was fused into a single piece — it‘s the previous Reel on my profile.
