This quilt came together the way our community does: piece by piece, through many hands. Beloved asheville works the same way. They were on the ground when Helene hit, and they’re still here, rebuilding Western North Carolina by spreading hope and building homes. ⛰️🏡💚

You just might win but you will definitely be supporting the amazing, life-changing Beloved asheville 🩷

Just a tiny, miniaturized Arete quilt hanging out in the morning sun.

There were 1/16th’s involved, wee HRTs, teeny hand quilting stitches (blood was shed), and lots of math … but sometimes the smallest things are worth the effort 🧡💛🤎

Brooke Eudaimonia Studio | Brooke is a pattern design genius 🙌🏻 The full size Arete is in my queue but these hand-dyed scraps were calling out to me first.

She’s 9 x 9 and bringing me big joy energy.

You can find me here every morning, often watching the sun come up.

My favorite make ever, proving that sometimes a simple motif + soft wovens + puffy wool batting + hand quilting = bliss

Pattern: Get Well Soon by the wonderful tessellate_textiles 🤎🧡💛

Mug: EAST FORK 🙌🏻

Filled with: Short Sleeves Coffee Autumn Blend 🧡

SERG-ury went well this morning. Just after dawn, she fractured a needle and the thread nerves were exposed. With slightly shaky hands from the pre-operation fuel ☕️, a new metal “bone” was inserted and I’ve successfully sutured the wound 4 times with UNdissolvable thread.

She’s fine and is already back on her pressing feet.

Have a great day. — Dr. Mel 🥼🩻🩺

10/10 recommend the Brother Crafts USA Lock 1034D serger AND Angelina | Upcycled Fashion for her perfect {chef’s kiss} threading tutorial. 🙌🏻
