Hi, I’m Sondra Peiffer, curator and owner of Vintage Swank! I’m so grateful for the opportunity to be part of Southern Vintage Collective.

I inherited my love for decorating and flea market shopping from my mother. She was forever rearranging, repainting, and redecorating to make our home feel fresh and loved. That inspiration stayed with me and grew into my own passion for mixing old and new, finding timeless vintage heirlooms, and creating spaces filled with warmth and personality.

For me, decorating often begins with one special inspiration piece and designing around it. I believe your home should be a reflection of you, filled with things you truly love. There’s no greater compliment than hearing that my home feels warm, comfortable, and inviting.

I love the thrill of the hunt, handpicking treasures that I can reimagine and give new life to. It brings me so much joy when others love the things I’ve found, created, or thoughtfully put together as much as I do.

Vintage Swank began about seven years ago as a furniture painting business and has evolved into what it is today. One of the greatest blessings along the way has been the wonderful people I’ve met who share my love for beautiful, timeless pieces.

I truly believe any house can become a warm and inviting home when you surround yourself with the things you love.

I’m so excited to introduce you to Brooke Franklin of Well Traveled Interiors & Design! Brooke is a dear friend of mine and one of the most creative and talented people I know. She has an incredible eye for beautiful, timeless treasures, a heart for all things with a story, and let me tell you, she’s hands down one of the best pickers I’ve ever seen!

Brooke brings so much creativity, warmth, and beautiful style to Southern Vintage Collective, and I’m thrilled to have her as part of our vendor family💚

Hi, I’m Brooke Franklin, the heart and creative soul behind Well Traveled Interiors & Design.
I’ve always believed the most beautiful spaces aren’t decorated—they’re collected.

My love of all things old actually began with vintage books. There was something about holding a book that had lived a life before it ever found its way into my hands—the worn covers, aged pages, beautiful bindings, and the mystery of where it had been and who had loved it before me. I think that’s where I first fell in love with the idea that old things don’t lose their beauty with time. They gain a story.

From there, that love grew into worn leather, beautiful architecture, tarnished brass, timeworn wood, old paintings, and those one-of-a-kind pieces that make you stop in your tracks because somehow, for reasons you can’t quite explain, they speak to you.

That’s the heart behind Well Traveled Interiors & Design.

I love finding the forgotten, the overlooked, and the unexpected and imagining what it could become. Sometimes that means giving an old piece new life. Sometimes it means creating an entire room around one beautiful find. And sometimes, I swear, the perfect piece finds you—as though it has been waiting all along for the person who would recognize its beauty.

For me, decorating has never been about following trends or making everything perfect. It’s about creating spaces that feel collected, layered, lived in, and deeply personal. A home should tell your story. It should hold things that remind you where you’ve been, who you love, and what moves your soul.

My inspiration comes from everywhere—old houses and beautiful architecture, the pages of a good book, places traveled and places still dreamed of, history, art, and the simple beauty of things made to last.

And while so much of what I create may look like a reflection of me, I know where it truly comes from. God gets the credit for all of it. Every bit of creativity, every vision, every door that has opened, and every beautiful thing I’ve been fortunate enough to bring to life began with a gift He gave me. I’m simply grateful that I get to use it.

Well Traveled Interiors & Design is my love letter to beautiful things with a story—and to the belief that a home, just like life itself, becomes more special when it is filled with things that hold meaning.

I believe the right pieces have a way of finding us. And when something truly touches your soul, you don’t simply find a place for it.

You build a story around it.

✨ MEET THE COLLECTIVE ✨

Meet Leslie Kibodeaux Venable, one half of Vintage Vagabond! She has such a fun, stylish eye and a true love for vintage fashion. I just love the personality and creativity she brings to our one and only vintage closet, and I’m so excited to have her as part of this little dream of mine!

My name is Leslie Venable and I’ve lived in Southeast Texas my entire life. Born in Beaumont, went to school in Lumberton and have worked retail in Beaumont for over 40 years. After my position as Visual Merchandising Manager was eliminated (I LOVED this job) I searched for a creative outlet for several years and then I discovered Mad Men (Janie Bryant Costumer designer) on AMC during its original run. It is set in the 1960s on Madison Avenue at a marketing agency. The sets, the barware, and the CLOTHES!! I was hooked and the rest is history
I enjoy finding items locally at garage sales, estate sales and thrift stores. My biggest score so far was a Gilbert Adrian coat I found at an estate sale in Port Arthur for $40. I find the hunt, researching and learning history of garments and curating and building a little store of my own is so rewarding and enjoyable and it feeds my creative spirit.
I enjoy traveling, movies and costume design, and reading.

Meet Veronica Spears Pelt with The Vintage Teacher!

I just love the beautiful, collected eye behind The Vintage Teacher. Veronica’s love of history, travel, and pieces with a story brings such a special layer to Southern Vintage Collective and I’m so happy to have her as part of this little dream of mine, and I can’t wait for y’all to see what she brings to the shop. 🤍

Hi! I’m Veronica and for 25 years, I’ve had the privilege of being an educator, and I currently teach British Literature to seniors at Lumberton High School. Outside the classroom, I’m a wife, a mom to a senior at Lumberton High School, and the owner of The Vintage Teacher.

My favorite hobby is the searching for those special, one-of-a-kind pieces that make a booth feel collected, interesting, and full of stories. I love all things vintage, with a particular passion for brass, silver, folk art, and European furniture.

My husband and I love to travel, and those experiences have greatly influenced the way I curate and style my booths. I’m inspired by the beauty, history, and character found in different cultures, and I love bringing a little of that world home through the pieces I choose.

For me, The Vintage Teacher is more than a collection of beautiful things. It’s a reflection of my love for history, travel, craftsmanship, and the thrill of finding something wonderful and giving it a new place to be appreciated.💚
