Almost stayed home tonight… but Naples sunsets are hard to miss. 🌅✨

So I put on a cute outfit, walked 5th Ave, watched the waves roll in, and reminded myself that enjoying your own company is a skill you build over time.

It’s been a heavy week. But this morning, the sunrise was warm, the tea was good, and Baby Bjorn reminded me to slow down for a minute.

Sometimes peace isn’t a big breakthrough. Sometimes it’s sunlight, quiet, and a cat who trusts you enough to rub his belly. 😻

Trying to appreciate the small things today. ☀️

If your foundation double crochet circle always looks jagged or uneven… this is probably why. 👀

When joining foundation double crochet in the round, you need to join BOTH:✨ the top stitch✨ AND the base chain

Otherwise you end up with a gap at the base, or uneven edge.

This quick crochet tip will make your seamless starts look so much cleaner — especially for tops, sleeves, hats, and anything worked in the round. 🙌

Save this for your next project and send it to a crochet friend who struggles with FDC joins! 🧶

Soft yarn, simple stitches, a few sparkling beads… and suddenly it feels like something you’d wear walking by the water at sunset.

The Tidal Treasure Shawl was designed to be relaxing, wearable, and beautiful without overcomplicating the process. Perfect for makers who want that effortless coastal look without counting a million stitches.

And yes… the beads are easier than they look. ✨
