Here’s what’s going on in the shop on a Wednesday night. Wrapping up for the night, so I’m giving y’all an update.

I am actually in between projects right now! Taking a little bit of time to re-organize, go hang out with my three-year-old grandson for the early part of this week, and will be back in the shop Tuesday evening to start a few new projects!

This was a very unplanned, spur of the moment project. I’ve had this in our garage for a few months now, wanting to refinish it for our foyer. I had no idea what I was going to do with it. I had thrown around ideas for a few months.

So I brought it down to the shop, put a tan wash on it, and decided it needed more. So I did a green wash on parts of it. John didn’t want the entire table to be green, so we stayed with this. I really like it!

Art deco waterfall refinish PART 4.

You don’t see it in this video, but I re-stripped the trim on the front to get it smoother. I also took another step to get the sides smooth out after repairing veneer. This is the actual update video I sent to the recipient of this piece 😊

The fusion surgery was a success! (Veneer repair 😂). I am tired. I can’t wait until tomorrow evening to get more done...

Art deco waterfall chifforobe refinish project: PART 2. If I ever customize a piece for you, this is the kind of videos you will have to endure. 😂

But we have it figured out. Now that we have the first coat of primer on and it’s nice and light and bright, we know that we are not going to have any handles. Also, in the taller door section to the right, we are going to put shelves in there to house cookie sheets and muffin tins!
