Foggy forests + old bridges + the first colors of fall. 🌲🍂

September’s Timber & Tide Yarn Club was inspired by Vance Creek Bridge and the beautiful, moody landscape surrounding it.

I’m pulling inspiration from deep greens, weathered grays, earthy browns, burnt orange, and golden autumn tones for this month’s colorway.

And remember—you get to choose your adventure:
🌈 Variegated — colorful and dynamic
🧶 Tonal — soft and subtle

Plus, you can add a coordinating mini if you want a little extra color to play with.

A chilly afternoon, a warm cup in your hands, and that unmistakable smell of apples and spice in the air. 🍎

Cider Mill feels like a little piece of fall wound into a skein.

Rich, warm, and wonderfully cozy, it brings to mind orchard days, changing leaves, worn-in sweaters, and coming home with cold fingers and something delicious to drink.

Basically: fall doing what fall does best.

I’d happily put Cider Mill into a sweater or cardigan for peak autumn coziness, but it would be just as lovely in a shawl, hat, cowl, or crochet accessory you can pull out year after year.

Now I need to know:
Hot apple cider or hot chocolate while you’re working on your fall projects? ☕️

That last little glow after the fire settles down. 🔥

The room gets darker, the conversation gets quieter, and those warm embers keep flickering away.

That’s the feeling behind Emberlight.

Because some days we have the pattern printed, yarn wound, notions gathered, and a perfectly reasonable plan. And other days… we start another project because the yarn looked pretty. 😅

The sky is gray, your favorite blanket is calling, and suddenly everything on the to-do list feels like it could probably wait until tomorrow. 🧶

🌲 September’s Timber & Tide Yarn Club is here! 🍂

This month, we’re heading into the misty forests surrounding Vance Creek Bridge in Washington.

Think towering evergreens fading into the fog, weathered steel, deep forest greens, earthy browns, and those first warm flashes of autumn. September’s colorway is all about that moody moment when summer starts giving way to fall in the Pacific Northwest.

Choose Variegated for a more colorful, dynamic skein or Tonal for something softer and more subtle. You can also add a coordinating 20g mini skein!

Maybe fall doesn't officially start yet, but the yarn doesn't need to know that.

This is the time of year I start thinking about deeper colors, warm layers, mugs that stay beside me while I work, and projects that slowly grow as the evenings get shorter. The Fireside Collection was born on those exact evenings — the ones where the house smells like something warm in the oven and the light softens a little earlier each day.

Before this was yarn, it was fiber in my hands. 🧶

Hidden Grove started as raw alpaca fiber from alpacas raised by local 4-H kids. I cleaned and prepared the fiber myself, spun it by hand, and then dyed the finished yarn.

Each batch has its own personality, too—the softness of the fiber can vary depending on the age of the alpaca.

Hidden Grove is 100% alpaca, handspun in a worsted weight with 114 yards.

From a local alpaca, through my hands, and ready to become something new. 💛
