I was putting things away and trying to find some sense of organization in my home with the hopes it might rub off and feel like some sense of organization in my life. It wasn’t going well until I came across Harriet Salt and decided all of my unorganized chaos can stay how it is. I’m going to stitch a few letters across the top then we are heading to play outside!

Everything about this makes me so happy. We are nice and cozy in our hotel room anxiously awaiting the Bristol retreat at . The girls are stitching and watching movies. I’m just watching them, smiling and enjoying everything about them.
Handicrafts are valuable learning tools for young children. Through simple handicrafts, like stitching and making, children strengthen their fine motor skills, attention, patience, creativity, and confidence. They learn to follow steps, solve problems, and take pride in creating something with care. Handicrafts also offer something increasingly rare: quiet focus, real-world skills, and the deep satisfaction of making with their own hands.
