Wild Blue Violet Vintage

10/24/2026

We just restocked the Wild Blue Violet Vintage space inside Alley Antique Mall in Galveston. There’s a Danish modern credenza, an oak buffet with a whole gallery wall to go with it, Mardi Gras posters, a sunny yellow canister, and a 1970s owl purse that’s ready for a night out.
This weekend only: 25% off! 💙

Boy Scouts got nuthin’ on vintage folks. We take “Be Prepared” to a whole nutha level! 🛺

Seven years ago today, I found this Art Deco buffet with nothing but my golf cart to get it home. Good thing I had ratchet straps on board. One slow ride through Galveston later, it made it home. And it sold! 💙

What’s the craziest way you’ve ever hauled a find home? 👇

Say hello to the newest arrivals: a 1960s Lane hope chest with a moody black-and-red upholstered top, and a sleek MCM walnut night stand on tapered legs. They’re in good company with a showstopping red Norman Bel Geddes Simmons metal dresser, a tiger oak Arts & Crafts buffet with grain for days, and a warm MCM teak credenza.

And a fond farewell to the Drexel Compatica dresser and the solid oak antique kitchen cabinet. Both found new homes! 👋 Good pieces don’t stick around long.

Which piece would you take home? Tell me in the comments! 👇 And follow along for new finds every week.

A month without her. Who else feels like they have lost a beloved aunt they never got to meet?
She has always been a part of my life and I will always love her.
Do you have a favorite Dolly memory? Mine is tap dancing to 9 to 5 in my church talent show when I was 10.
Let’s do a Dolly today! A random act of kindness. I’m calling those Dollys from now on. 🦋

Vintage Jenga: 2. Me: 0. 🏆 I’m losing to a pile of stuff.

I’m never buying anything else. 🤞 (Please enjoy this lie. See you tomorrow.)

I’m always getting into something. It’s chaotic. It’s fun. Come along! 🎢 Follow for Round 3, more vintage life and questionable decisions. 🖤

What do YOU get into? Confess below 👇 I blocked my own door, so no judgment.

Texas is far too hot to work outside right now, so this little Victorian desk has taken over my dining room.

The work is slow because every leaf, curve and carved detail needs attention. I’ve cleaned a bunch and made real progress, but she’s still not finished. At this point, she may think the dining room belongs to her.

Be honest: would you let a half-finished Victorian desk take over your dining room? Tell me in the comments, and follow for the next chapter. 💙

Blue Skies is now Blue Heron and has a new very nice owner’s. I visited with them the other day and got to see the home. If you are looking for a rental in Galveston the amenities and location are hard to beat. 🙂
