Here’s (probably) the last look at Moriah & Kyle’s wedding at . Until we see the professional pics and get all excited again… Their atrium reception featured a few different styles of centerpiece, each including a wood slice and votive candle. The assortment of mason jars and budvases on the tables included a mix of bright summer blooms. And the huge head table was a perfect place to make a focal point in the room! The arbor floral combined with the wedding party bouquets and a bit of loose foliage made such an impact there! Could not stop taking photos of it.

We were pretty in love with this arbor design for Moriah & Kyle at Danada House. It was over 8’ long and exploding with color and blooms. We don’t often get to design a large piece ::together:: but we both had our hands in this one which was fun. The aisle markers were simple hydrangea with foliage and ribbon. And you know we repurposed all of this for the reception space too!

Can we just take a second for the texture and colors in this bouquet? There’s both large and miniature, soft and firm petals, bold color, neutrals and soft shades. An accent of foliage but really focused on the florals. It’s cheerful and summery and was so perfect for Moriah.
We used a combo of Hot Pink, Pink, Orange & Yellow Ranunculus, White Anemone, Light Blue Delphinium, Chamomile, Ruscus, Ferns, Myrtle, and Succulents, with a slight variation for her 5 bridesmaids.
And there were 2 sentimental details included in the bridal bouquet as well! Some pages of the bride’s journal were made into an origami heart and added among the blooms and a keepsake butterfly pin was tucked in as her something borrowed.
Also, due to the groom Kyle receiving an excess of congratulatory hugs a few petals of the succulent didn’t survive in his boutonnière until the ceremony, so we reworked it a bit and added a touch of yellow and it came out even better than it started. No photo of v2.0 though.

We’re huge fans of doing your own thing for your wedding day! Case in point: Jenn and her husband Jeff had a very nontraditional wedding 18 years (and 2 weeks) ago!
The wedding day was an intimate ceremony in a garden followed by dinner at a nearby fancypants restaurant. Our wedding party was a mix of ladies and gents on each side and our cake was shaped like a popcorn bucket!
But the real twist is that the big friends and fam celebration was a whole 2 weeks later at the Rialto Square Theatre! 18 years ago today. Let me tell you breaking the events in half like that really made each one more fun, more stress free and way easier to plan out.

We played into the gorgeous theatre location and our love for movies with a fully themed event, complete with cardboard cutouts, a red carpet, movie ticket seating assignments handed out at the box office, theatre candy and a fresh popcorn cart. The tables were named for our favorite films and the photobooth saw a ton of action. Was it an excuse to carry a second (very large) bridal bouquet? Heck yes! Did I also have pizza delivered to my groom? Yup! Did the centerpieces feature live goldfish for some reason? Also yes, but that I actually regret. The rest I would do again today in a heartbeat. There was polka music mixed with movie soundtracks, maybe a movie themed word search in the program, loads of love and laughter, and the day was fully US.
If you’re thinking outside the box for your own event we say 100% GO FOR IT! Really make it YOUR wedding. It’s fun as hell, and will make your day truly unique and so memorable.
