For their wedding at Annelisa & Ryan wanted an earthy, organic, romantic feel, seasonal but not halloween!! And I think we nailed it.

We used a variety of eucalyptus paired with rust, peach, mauve, blush and white blooms for their florals. Sage green and gold touches with candles were incorporated throughout the decor of their day as well. The ceremony was held in the Rock Garden and cocktail hour on the Woodside Pavilion lawn, both spaces were naturally beautiful and the weather couldn’t have been better.

For the last look at Marissa & Eduardo’s florals please take a gander at their centerpieces! We had two styles in the space, which we love to do. The first style was a gold pedestal vase with a lush arrangement of coordinating floral and foliage, and the second was a curated stack of the client’ books with our rental battery powered taper candles in gold holders and loose coordinating blooms placed throughout. We added an eclectic mix of gold votive holders with white votive candles to every table for a little glow, and the ornate gold framed table numbers were a perfect complement.

The couple wanted the sweetheart table to be a focal point in the Classico Room. So during the cocktail hour we utilized the florals from the ceremony arch to create this waterfall of blooms cascading off the table to the floor and added in more of the taper candles in gold holders. Gah. So stunning, right?. The black linens really made the blooms pop and added to the sultry feel they were after.

At the end of the night we returned to the space the wrap the florals for VIP family and lucky guests to take home and enjoy. One of those pedestal pieces on a coffee table or in the dining room? Stop it! So luxe!

For Marissa & Eduardo’s wedding ceremony at we accented the altar space with our copper arch and burgundy fabric curtain. Then we added staggered sprays and ground arrangements of textured autumn blooms to complete the look. The aisle chairs were decorated with alternating plum ribbons and candles with loose coordinating foliage.
For their lobby and cocktail spaces the clients added mini lamps, stacks of vintage books, and various personal touches. We just incorporated a few bonus accent pieces, loose blooms and eclectic gold votive holders for a bit of color, freshness and glow. Between the florals, the rich finishes of the space and the very cool bourbon tasting (not pictured) everything felt so inviting.

It’s time for a look at Marissa & Eduardo’s wedding floral from last Sunday! We took over 500 photos of this one so we’ll try to narrow down to just a few posts. 😅

First up is the wedding party floral. We created a draping bouquet with loads of textured blooms in the couples autumn palette for the bride. And each of her ‘maids carried a single variety of flower in an assortment of colors from that palette. Was a colonist on the usual matching bouquets.
The gents wore pocket square boutonnières with the groom’s made bigger and showier than the others. And if you look closely you’ll spot a dried rose in the groom’s bout and a few in the bride’s bouquet. They were sent to us ahead of the event and hold a sentimental meaning for them. Adorable!

The palette for our Sunday event is so rich and warm and cozy and soft and beautiful. It’s full of texture and just perfect for the autumn season. Can’t wait to see this one come together for Marissa & Eduardo!

It was 86° today on the southside, yes, in the middle of October. Wild. But it’s feeling like autumn around the design studio at least. We got to help with a fundraiser and play with some cute fall flowers. And this weekend we’re working on a moody event with dark fairytale vibes. We love this time of year, the rich colors are everything.

Next we’re going to take a look at Erika & Ryan’s reception space from their event in the Chicago Room at Chicago History Museum Events.
Dining tables were dressed with Candles and Baby’s Breath for a light ethereal look. The simplicity was perfect to let the art and architecture of the space shine. And you know we repurposed those ceremony arrangements for the reception! ‘Twas a beautiful evening.

Erika & Ryan’s ceremony held on the outdoor plaza at Chicago History Museum Events was picture perfect. Blue skies, beautiful weather, abundant florals, what more can you ask for? A cloud-like bouquet of Roses, Ranunculus and Baby’s Breath? Got that too.
