AI inspiration images - You see them all over Pinterest and now social media. Do we love them or hate the? Honestly, I’m conflicted. Sometimes it’s a great tool to visualize a design but on the other hand it lies to us. We play eye spy with every picture looking for the floating structures and impossible features that AI loves to include. 😂 AI is here (and unlikely to go away) so yes, we will use this tool to help our clients see the vision. But we will keep a strong level of skepticism and constantly educate our clients so what they approve can actually be achieved. No one will ever replace a true humans touch and experience.

Twenty-plus years in interior design, and we’ve seen some things. 😳

From creepy discoveries behind walls to things we wish we could unsee (and unsmell), these are just a few of our REAL construction horror stories.

And yes, every single one actually happened!

Forget haunted houses. Try renovating one. 👻

Honestly, I feel fear every day. Fear when I take bold steps in business. Fear when I send my boys out to school. Fear about what I see on the news. Fear surrounds us but it can never overcome us unless we let it. I also believe in hope and faith and love. It can overcome. We must get up everyday, stand up for what we believe in, and be bold and brave. I’m not sure what is going to happen in the coming years but I am grateful for what keeps me grounded and comforted today.

“Can you get me new furniture before the holidays?” (A common question asked to us in September and October).

Short answer…no. Obviously I wish we could. In this global market it’s tough unless you have a lot of furniture at your fingertips. Honestly, it takes time to bring you in as a client, create a beautiful curated space, place orders, and wait for the arrival. Good design takes time. Let’s not rush it.

That doesn’t mean we don’t want to work with you. Just trust our process and know that good things are worth the wait. We may be your fairy godmothers but unfortunately we aren’t magic. 😂
