A truly exceptional home welcomes patina, appreciates craftsmanship, and radiates effortless comfort. These layered, inviting qualities are central to everything we create at Studio Gutow.
Built in the 1930s, this storied Emerald Bay cottage has been meticulously restored to preserve its historic charm while embracing a modern sensibility. The walnut-clad entryway introduces the reimagined main house, where a dimensional tray ceiling is complemented by an aged brass light fixture. In the dining area, a custom banquette upholstered in Schumacher linen pairs with a bespoke table under a Hector Finch light. The newly enclosed veranda now offers a luminous living space that seamlessly connects the dining and kitchen areas, unified by matching ceilings and hand-laid walnut floors.
