How many different places do you go to shop for groceries for your family, and why?
π»ππππ πππ so much for all of the great summer dinner ideas!
My list πis long for the grocery stores today.
(We usually spend between $800 and $1000, but on our big shopping days⦠It used to be $500 to $700, but groceries have definitely gotten a lot more expensive!!)
As I was thinking of this long list and all the newer markets that have opened in the last few years in Loudoun County, between Sprouts and Trader Joeβs and Aldi and Lidl, and then your main grocery store like Harris Teeter and Giant. Add in some farmers markets and bakeries; the options just seem endless as to where you could get your groceries.
Then, if you calculate your time in for going from one place to another, it could really add up to a long day and a lot of stops! However, if youβre going to save a significant amount of money, it may be worth it to have this long day with multiple stops.
So, where do you goπ? How many stops do you make? Do you find that you are making multiple stops because you are saving π΅ money or because the quality of some food items is better at certain places than others?
Psβ¦ picture is of my kids when they were younger, I would create challenges in different parts of the grocery store and when getting cleaning supplies, I used to take them to this aisle, plunge a couple plungers to the vinyl floor and make it a contest who could unstick their plunger first.ππ
