🌿 Hardwood 101: Solid vs. Engineered Hardwood

Thinking about hardwood floors but not sure which option is right for your home? Solid hardwood and engineered hardwood both offer the natural beauty of real wood, but they are built differently and can perform differently depending on your space.

🪵 Solid Hardwood
Made from one solid piece of real wood. It offers timeless beauty, durability, and the ability to be refinished over time.

🏡 Engineered Hardwood
Made with a real wood surface and layered core construction, giving it added stability and more installation flexibility.

📍 Installation Matters
Solid hardwood is typically best at or above ground level. Engineered hardwood may offer more installation options depending on the product and space.

💰 Budget & Performance
Both are real wood. Engineered hardwood is often more budget-friendly, while species, quality, and construction can all affect the final price.

Choosing the right hardwood comes down to your home, lifestyle, installation needs, and budget. Our team can help you compare options and find the right fit.
