Achieving a nursery that feels playful yet timeless is all about creating a balance between personality and longevity. I always want these spaces to feel imaginative and fun while still having a foundation that can grow beautifully over time. 🤍

A few ways I approach this are by incorporating classic patterns like ginghams, plaids, stripes, and textured solids that won’t quickly feel dated. I also encourage clients not to shy away from color. A nursery is the perfect place to have a little fun while still keeping the palette balanced and cohesive.

One of my favorite ways to make a nursery feel truly special is by adding details that are personal to the family. In my own son’s nursery, we incorporated vintage dog prints because dogs have always been meaningful to our family. Those kinds of details help a space feel personal and lasting rather than trend driven.
